"This summer Helen Keller Services for the Blind’s 2022 Health and Wellness Program received the opportunity to partner with Pioneer Sports of Long Island. Pioneer sports was able to accommodate and establish a 6-week curriculum for an adaptive sports program that best fit the adults of the HKSB Health and Wellness Program.

During the 6-week program, participants have had the opportunity to learn a variety of sports skills while also establishing a strong sense of teamwork and boost in self-confidence.

We are so grateful to the wonderful staff of Pioneer sports for sharing their love and knowledge of sports, as well as accommodating our participants with a safe and inclusive environment!"

"My two sons are in the Sports Club after school. They absolutely LOVE every second of it!! They leave there so happy and excited about all the great games and sports they play! Not only are they having a blast, but they are also learning so much and getting some great exercise in!! I am definitely signing them up every year!"

I am just writing to complement a rec program you have going on and have had for several sessions.  My 4 year old son participates in Tee ball through pioneer sports. I want to say that hes been doing it every season for a year now if not longer. We keep coming back and choosing them because not only does my son ask to “go to tee ball school “ but the staff is nothing short of wonderful. They are attentive and wonderful with the kids. They really do such a great job!

The hour long program is filled with completely age appropriate activities with rotating stations keeping the little ones engaged for the whole time. We have done several sports in other places but keep choosing to come back to pioneer sports because of how good of a job they do."
